You can delete your Distance Of Life account in two ways. Both lead to the same result: your account identifier and the associated user data that is no longer required to provide the service are removed from active systems or irreversibly anonymised.
1. From within the application (recommended)
Open the application and follow these steps:
Go to the Profile tab.
Open the ⚙️ Account section.
Tap ❌ Delete My Account Entirely under ⚠️ Danger Zone.
Complete the confirmation step.
If you would rather erase your data but keep your account, use the 🗑️ Delete All My Data option in the same section.
2. Request via the web
If you cannot access the application, send an email from the address registered to your account to
support@distanceoflife.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request”.
Before the request is processed, the minimum additional information appropriate to the nature of the request may be
requested in order to verify that you are the account holder.
Account identifier, username, email address and profile information
Task, goal, plan, habit, note, journal and reminder records
Health and fitness data: mood, body measurements, weight, sleep, calorie/nutrition information, water intake, step and exercise records
Finance/budget tracking records
Book, film, series and anime tracking data
Photographs and media content you have uploaded
The parts of artificial-intelligence chat and request records that are linked to your account
Limited records that may be retained
Financial records that must be kept under a legal obligation or tax/accounting or consumer legislation
Records required in connection with a fraud or security investigation or a legal dispute
Copies that remain for a limited period in disaster-recovery and routine technical backups; these are overwritten or deleted within the normal backup cycle
Content in shared project areas that is necessary for the record integrity of other users may remain in anonymised form, with its link to your personal identity removed
Your subscription is not cancelled automatically.
Deleting your account does not terminate your Google Play subscription. To stop being charged, you must cancel your subscription separately through the
Google Play subscription centre.
